served
We share the stories of the men and women who have served in the United States military forces.
For decades, soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen have done their national duty and then gone about their lives. Some had "shell shock". Some have PTSD. Almost all are affected in some way by what they experienced while wearing the uniform.
These are their stories.

I've received stories from Vietnam War veterans that have made me weep.
I've published stories from Iraqi War veterans that make my blood run cold.
I've read the narrative of veterans who are struggling to align their humanity with some of the very inhumane things they were forced into doing while serving in the US military.
War is hell. Fighting in a war is complicated. Recovery from that experience is a lifelong endeavor.
For perhaps the first time in decades, their stories are seeing the light of day.
If you are ready to share your story, let me know. Even if you're not "a writer," I am honored to help construct, edit, and fine-tune your piece to present your experiences to the world with professionalism and dignity.
Much of the existing narrative around what it means to serve in the US military has been provided by politicians and special interest groups, who frequently feign adoration for the US veteran as a sentimental show of 'patriotism' and then turn right around and propose and vote for policies and laws that hurt that very community.
These same entities also consider and engage in acts of aggression and warfare without considering the tremendous human toll it will take on our own fighting forces, not just physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
We are here to audit that narrative.
